BOUND BY BLOOD, ADDICTED TO DANGER, THEY'LL ENTER THE DARKEST--AND MOST EROTIC--PLACE OF ALL . . .

A warrior trained in bullets and blades, Renata cannot be bested by any man--vampire or mortal. But her most powerful weapon is her extraordinary psychic ability--a gift both rare and deadly. Now a stranger threatens her hard-won independence, a golden-haired vampire who lures her into a realm of darkness . . . and pleasure beyond imagining.

A combat-loving adrenaline junkie, Nikolai dispenses his own justice to enemies of the Breed--and his latest quarry is a ruthless assassin. One woman stands in his way: the seductive, cool-as-ice bodyguard, Renata. But Renata's powers are put to the test when a loved one, a child, is threatened and she's forced to turn to Niko for help. As the two join forces, as desire fans the flames of a deeper hunger, Renata's life is under seige by a man who offers the exquisite pleasure of a blood bond--and a passion that could save or doom them both forever. . . .

TRUSTING HER WAS UNTHINKABLE

Lady Isabel Adair is the last woman Sir Duncan MacGruder wants to see again, much less be obliged to save. Three years ago, Isabel broke their engagement to become the Earl of Frasyer’s mistress, shattering Duncan’s heart and hopes in one painful blow. But Duncan’s promise to Isabel’s dying brother compels him to rescue her from those determined to bring down Scottish rebel Sir William Wallace.

RESISTING HER WAS IMPOSSIBLE

Betraying the man she loved was the only way for Isabel to save her father, but every moment she spends with Duncan reminds her just how much she sacrificed. No one could blame him for despising her, yet Duncan’s misgivings cannot withstand a desire that has grown wilder with time. Now, on a perilous journey through Scotland, two wary lovers must confront both the enemies who will stop at nothing to hunt them down, and the secret legacy that threatens their passion and their lives…

Old enough to remember his beginning, Chance Becket has spent all of his thirty years trying to forget, hiding his unsavory youth behind a society marriage and a prestigious position with the War Office. But now the widower must confront his past and return to the windswept coast of Romney Marsh ... where the ghosts of his childhood still linger.

Newly hired governess Julia Carruthers is delighted to be in charge of Chance's young daughter and eager to escape the confines of London. Yet the excitement of the journey to her employer's strange home is nothing compared to the attraction between them. And when Julia sees something she should not, she wonders if Chance's sudden intentions are prompted by ungentlemanly desires or his need to protect his family's secrets.

Placed in the Young Ladies' Academy by her well-meaning sisters, Constance Cameron feels smothered. She hates England and desperately wants to return to America. Since her sisters have found happiness with their new English husbands, they ignore her pleas. Constance decides to run away and locate a ship to take her home. Escaping into the night, she stumbles upon a handsome Scottish rebel who grabs her. After landing a few good punches, Constance discovers he's attempting to kidnap her. She goes willingly, thinking she will flee once they get close to the coast.

Gordon Lachlan, the new Laird MacKenna, leads a ragtag group of Scots wanting to overthrow English rule. Their old leader fled to Italy, taking their money, leaving behind broken promises. Lachlan believes he can get the legendary sword of MacKenna and restore faith in his cause. He kidnaps Constance and asks for the sword as ransom from her new brother-in-law. With the English on his trail, Lachlan flees through the forest and mountains to escape. He expects a spoiled heiress and is surprised to find a capable young woman with vitality and a fighting spirit he wished his people had.

Lachlan meets his match in Constance. She sees with clarity that Lachlan is fighting for a lost cause. Constance tries to give him hope for the future, but with a price on his head, Lachlan sees a miserable short life before him. Constance refuses to accept that answer and instead seeks to find hope.

I have been reading Dark Seduction for the past week and for some reason the book does not grab my attention. I gave up on Dark Seduction last night and pick up a favorite author of mine that I know I would love and I pick the right one! In the Highlander’s Bed was a fantastic read kept me turning the pages until I finished.

A Great Way to Start The Year in Reading!
